July is the cruelest month. Mostly because most of us Floodies were out of commission the entire month being sick. I managed to get an illness similar to strep throat, Audrey contracted a bug at day-care, and then Dan managed to get sick too. Not fun... especially when the weather is very warm!
Also, July proved to be emotionally tough in that my dear Nana passed away. She went peacefully in her sleep and had fought a courageous battle with MS for 25 years. She will be missed very much.
While we spent most of our time indoors battling various sicknesses, Audrey took her first "real" steps this past month. She walks all over the place now -- her pace is quickly gaining speed which has me a little worried. I'm not ready for her to run around just yet! Dan and I recently put her in day-care 2x a week to give her more interaction with other kids and for me to accomplish things at home. We are very fortunate to have Dan work for KLC (KinderCare) and thus get a hefty discount! Audrey loves going to 'school' and always gets cheerful reports at the end of the day (and we get a very tired little girl, which is great!) Below are some photos we took at a park near our home. Audrey was ready to dive in the duck pond. Quite the happy girl she is!
