Perhaps Audrey's favorite "toy" to play with is either one of Dan's or my blackberries. At first we were pretty set on not allowing her to play with them and associate it as a toy, but as we're finding as parents, a lot of these rules quickly disintegrate in efforts to please an upset child. The blackberry is a sure-fire way to make this girl happy -- after a round of shots and allergy testing it wasn't the love of her Nuk or bear that made the tears stop, but holding that blackberry in her little fingers and pushing the buttons. She stands on her own when she's holding the blackberry -- too distracted to realize that she CAN stand on her own. Luckily she has yet to place an unwanted call or drop it in the toilet. But, I'm sure that with time, these things will happen. Maybe we should stick with our set rules after all... oh well.
