Feed me, Seymore!

With 2 days to go until Halloween, Dan spent the evening carving a rather intricate pumpkin. Some of you may recognize the design. We chose the iconic subject of Audrey II, that lovable yet deadly plant from The Little Shop of Horrors. Baby Audrey was already in bed, but I'm sure she will love to see Audrey the Second carved in our pumpkin on Halloween evening. Dan loved playing the part of the artist, while Julie photographed the event. She captured this spectacular shot of the final product. Julie made some delicious carrot-cake cupcakes for Dan's work potluck, I am sure they will be enjoyed by all. Happy Halloween!

Baby Steps to 4 o'clock....

This morning we received a wonderful note in the mail from our dearest friends, Sara and Eric. To escape from the day-to-day living in Aberdeen, Washington, Sara and Eric recently moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina and are loving it! Check out their blog here. We cannot wait to see them when they come home for a visit to Beaverton in December. Audrey was also excited to read their card, as you can see from the photo above :)

Special Delivery

Audrey received a special package in the mail yesterday from her Cousin Vivian. After many years with her binks (well, only 3 years or so), Vivian decided to give away her binkies to Baby Audrey. Viv personally designed the box -- so cute! Thank you, Vivian! We are very proud of you.

Busy Baby Girl

The past week, Audrey and Dan and I have been busy (as with every other week). We visited Nana over the weekend, Audrey got to see her cousin Viv, Aunties Mika and Kaela and Grandma Deb at Grandma Sondra's birthday lunch, went to see her dad at work again, and Dan surprised us Tuesday night by taking a night off school and a personal day off on Wednesday. We headed out to the beach house for the night and the following day, it was nice to get out of town during the week! Audrey took her first trip down to the ocean - though she was more interested in watching Finnegan than looking at the water. She also enjoyed putting a plastic shovel in her mouth.

When we're not out and about, I've been enjoying staying at home with baby girl and watching too much CNN (Is David Gergen not the best political analyst?!) I've also been keeping busy temping at TriQuint and appreciate both Grandmas watching Audrey.

One last thing - Audrey is rolling over regularly now. She is so anxious to roll onto her tummy, but then gets tired and frustrated because she can't move around. She's turning into such a big girl!

Audrey & Apple

Posted by Picasa

My poor child must get so sick of me taking photo shoots of her on a daily basis -- but, I can't help it! I was really, really happy with this one.
